Antarctica Journal
This four part narrative outlines some of the experiences of three generations of SNC geologists in Antarctica. I have been at SNC since 1988. Dr. Kathy Licht is a 1992 alum and Nicole Bader will be graduating this spring, 2011. My original intent was to blog about our adventures on a regular basis while there but, like so many other endeavors, the continent very often sets the schedule. It is also difficult to tell our story with just a few photos. Antarctica truly is a place where a picture is worth a thousand words. Consequently, the end of each of the four parts of this journal will feature a number of photos of this fabulous land, the people we met, the science undertaken and the adventures had.
