- PsycINFO. Students and faculty at St. Norbert College use PsycINFO, a bibliographic database produced by the American Psychological Association (APA), to search out research articles related to the papers they are writing and the experiments they are planning. This database provides bibliographic references to the international journal, book-chapter, and book literature in psychology and related disciplines such as education, business, medicine, and law. It is available through computers linked to the campus network via EBSCOhost. Follow this link to resources that can help you use PsycINFO more effectively and to other helpful library resources.
- APA editorial style.APA editorial style and other writing resources on the Web. The current edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychology Association, 5th edition, and the current edition of The Holt Handbook, (the St. Norbert College writing guide) can provide more complete guidance. Follow this link to resources that can help you use APA editorial style more effectively. These web resources are not intended to serve as a substitute for these two sources.
- APA Ethical Principles. Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct (2002). Psychologists aspire to maintain the highest ethical standards in their clinical practice of psychology, psychological research, and teaching. The preamble sets forth the context within which psychologists approach ethical issues. The general principles of beneficence and nonmaleficence, fidelity and responsibility, integrity, justice, and respect for people's rights and dignity apply to all that psychologists do as psychologists. The standards that address psychological research specifically are enumerated in Standard 8, Research and Publication. These standards guide the research of students and faculty in the Psychology Discipline at St. Norbert College. Tutorials
- Research Methods Tutorials. This page consists of tutorial Web projects put together by students in a graduate level course in program evaluation and research design at Cornell University. The intended audience for these tutorials was undergraduate and graduate students new to social research methods. The tutorials cover: foundation concepts, sampling & external validity, measurement & construct validity, research design & internal validity, data analysis & conclusion validity.
- Experimental design. This site first introduces, describes, and gives examples of nine common sources of threat to internal validity. This site then provides and opportunity to classify 36 hypothetical experiments as internally valid or not. If not, you must select the threat to internal validity from one of the nine sources.

- Resources for creating Web-based experimentsSeveral Web sites offer tutorials and advice to psychologists and other researchers who want to create Web-based surveys and experiments. You can learn how to design and program your own Web site or use software packages that guide you in creating questionnaires and simple experiments (APA Monitor, April 2000).
- Tips for creating an online Web page for experiments Some tips for creating an online experiment page, adapted in part from "Tips on creating and maintaining an educational Web site," Scott Plous, PhD, Teaching of Psychology 26, 6370).

- Survey Documentation and Analysis SDA is a set of programs for the documentation and Web-based analysis of survey data. There are also procedures for creating customized subsets of datasets. This set of programs is developed and maintained by the Computer-assisted Survey Methods Program (CSM) at the University of California, Berkeley. This site provides access to national omnibus surveys, studies of racial attitudes and prejudice, health surveys, studies of substance abuse, studies of aging, and studies of criminal justice. Simple analyses can be performed on line. Data can be down loaded for more complex analyses.
- At times researchers need to contact other investigators to learn more about their research methods, statistical analyses, or to obtain copies of research materials.
  - College and University Home Pages. If you know the researcher's institutional affiliation you can use this site to link to more than 3,000 colleges and universities around the world.
  - Search for someone. If a search by institutional affiliation is not successful, you can search a number of white pages listings on the Web. This site provides access to four widely used white pages searching sites.
