Welcome to the Pre-Health Sciences Club page!
Look here to find out what the club is all about and upcoming activities.
Mission statement: The purpose of the Pre-Health Sciences Club is to provide resources and opportunities for involvement to students interested in the health-related professions.
Qualifications: To become a member of the
club, students must express
interest in the health field, be considering a pre-health emphasis in course
work, and be willing to attend regular meetings. Currently, dues are collected
each semester and used for various guest speakers and other activities.
Activities: Throughout the year, club members
listen to invited speakers from a variety of health professions, including
physicians (MD and DO), dentists (DDS), physical therapists, veteranarians,
and others. The club also arranges for a trip to visit the two medical colleges
in Wisconsin,
UW -Madison in the fall and MCW in the spring. Club members are particularly
helpful in making contacts for students interested in shadowing experiences.
