The Shapes We're In
Abstract: Within some of our earliest discussions, we realized that all houses are created using shapes, hence the name of the unit. The goal of this unit was to create a series of lessons which combined math and art. The mathematical portion of the unit focuses on geometry and shapes, their properties and being able to accurately draw them. The art portion focus is on architecture and culture for our connection to the Neville Public Museum of Brown County exhibit within the Alhambra and tile designs.
