Passport to Patterns:
Abstract:
Passport to Patterns is a journey through five cultures spanning the globe-
China, Africa, Mexico, Russia, and North American Indian. At each cultural
"stop", students get opportunities to learn about shape patterns in traditional
art, as well as traditional foods, music, games and family life. At the
journey's end, this unit provides students with multicultural knowledge and
appreciation, as well as developed skills in identifying and creating patterns.
