Pizza By Many Hands:
An introductory, multi-cultural study of shapes, patterns, and colors for Grade One
Abstract: Students study the math elements of shape, form, symmetry, pattern and the art elements of line, texture, and color to simulate a pizza parlor performance assessment where students fill food orders while implementing math and art concepts learned and identifying tartan, Kente cloth, paj ntaub, and Native American bead motifs.
