Eighth Grade Unit:
Japan: A Land of Patterns
Abstract: The purpose of this unit is to increase student appreciation of the Japanese culture through the study of social studies, mathematical concepts, and the arts. The ultimate goal of the unit is to encourage students to visit the exhibit, Culture Counts, at the Neville Public Museum of Brown County and to look for connections among math, the arts, and the diverse cultures of the world.
